Maureen’s Haven Homeless Outreach provides a safe, warm temporary shelter to homeless individuals on the East End of Long Island, from November through March, utilizing volunteer houses of worship and congregation volunteers. The host facilities and supporting organizations provide much more than a place to sleep and a nutritious meal. They provide support through embracing the values of human dignity, respect, service, compassion, teamwork, diversity and love.
The mission of Maureen’s Haven is to protect and support the east end homeless by providing shelter, supportive services, and compassionate care for individuals in need. We are dedicated to uphold the dignity and worth of all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion affiliation, national origin, age or gender.
Maureen’s Haven has Licensed Social Workers and a Mental Health Counselor on staff several times a week. When necessary, we refer clients to services in our network of East End Health and Human Service Agencies.
